About Bloom

Bloom is a Y Combinator-backed (YC X25) startup unlocking the creator economy for software by making mobile app development as simple as sharing a link.

Founded in December 2024 by ETH students David Oort Alonso and Sirian Maathuis, Bloom eliminates the friction of traditional app development—no XCode builds, App Store reviews, or TestFlight invites. Instead, users can create full-stack mobile apps by simply talking into their phone and instantly sharing them with others.

With $3.4M in seed funding led by Moonfire, alongside Y Combinator, Pioneer Fund, and a group of world-class founders and operators from companies like HuggingFace, Weaviate, Convex, Expo, OpenAI, and Meta, Bloom is building the future of how software is created and shared.

By combining conversational AI with instant app deployment, Bloom empowers creators, developers, and entrepreneurs to turn ideas into real apps in seconds — redefining what it means to build software.
