About Browser Use

Browser Use is a Y Combinator-backed (YC W25) startup building an open-source platform that allows AI agents and users to automate web tasks—such as form filling, data scraping, navigation, and authentication—without writing complex code.

Founded in 2024 by ETH Zurich Alumni Magnus Müller and Gregor Žunič with roots in Zurich and now based in San Francisco, Browser Use offers a flexible developer library alongside a hosted no-code/low-code Navigator—making browser automation accessible to both technical and non-technical users.

Student Opportunities with Browser Use

Students are encouraged to explore the Browser Use ecosystem (see links below) and propose potential master’s thesis projects and areas for technical contribution in their application. We highly encourage candidates to review the team’s X (formerly Twitter) accounts to gain deeper insight into the platform’s current features, roadmap, and developer philosophy.
